"Dead Man's Wire," which dramatizes the 1977 Tony Kiritsis saga in Indianapolis, opened on 14 screens. It averaged $2,500 per screen Sunday, topping the latest "Avatar" ($1,729) and "Marty Supreme" ($838), per Box Office Mojo. "Dead Man's Wire" goes into wide release next week.
