Americans love the NFL but they don't know so much about it. Example: the low over/under pre-season win totals for Pittsburgh, Denver, Washington, Minnesota, Tampa Bay and LA Rams. If this were an exam, people would likely get 8 of 14 playoff teams right. That's a grade of F. But we love the NFL.

Another pet peeve from a senior sports watcher: Even if they have to pay a little, NFL Network needs to get away from Chris Rose and Rich Eisen on play by play. Nice update guys but way out of their realm on play by play. Thank goodness for digital recorder and fast forward.

Another pet peeve from close sports watching: 1) How many times will we be subjected to broadcasters' overuse of adjectives like "massive" and "incredible"?
