🥕 Expand cold storage so we can distribute even more food
🤝 Welcome larger volunteer groups to power our mission
🛠️ Unify our operations so we can work more efficiently
🤝 Ensure we’re ready for future emergencies

Jorge’s animals love the fresh produce he picks up from our Cypress warehouse. He even takes extra care to cut up big pieces to keep his animals safe from choking. His cows show their excitement by jumping and rushing to the trough when he brings sweet potatoes and carrots! #StopFoodWaste

From farm and store donations ➡️ to quality sorting by volunteers ➡️ to distribution through 900+ sites ➡️ to local farms feeding their animals with our surplus — every step of our food rescue cycle prevents waste and helps get quality food on the table for our neighbors. #foodrescue

Urgent: We've learned that USDA funding cuts will prevent 630,000 lbs of food from reaching Second Harvest of Silicon Valley.

This would've been distributed to our most vulnerable neighbors–– and was to be sourced from US farmers, who are now losing out on crucial revenue.
