The result isn’t bad in the grand scheme of things. I think our previous experiences of being chased down by City impacted a lot into how I felt about the game.

He lost control, crowd were baying for blood and assistant only put 3 added mins end of the half so they can had to get him to regroup.

Villa at home last season pushed my mental health into uncharted territory.
I had never been more convinced a game was done and dusted at 2-0 as this was - that’s how bad Villa were.

Now that Gabriel is back I wonder how we play this.
I think he has to start on Tuesday and come off at some point although our inability to kill games off make that unlikely.
I just wouldn’t want him anywhere near starting XI against Bournemouth and just have him ready for Liverpool.

From Saturday onwards it’s back to 2 games a week all the way into mid February if we get past Palace.
I’d be tempted to rotate heavily against Inter given last UCL game is home to Kairat Almaty.
