They’re not all adverbs but case in point. I am not mentioning the ugly and unmotivated split infinitive.

Better use of AI than "spellcheck": adverb-preempt. (Okay, branding needs work). Every time you type an adverb, it would ask "Does this really add anything"? If you try to say yes, it would say, "Yyyyeah, but does it, though?" (I'm sure you all noticed that "really" does not add anything).

Can I can go back to pre-AI spellcheck? The old one was useful. It caught typos and you could add any words it didn't recognize. The new one does things like trying to "correct" stationery to stationary.

When did all the newspapers decide that the time change is Bad for Your Health? I feel like every American paper does this twice a year now. As though you don't lose an hour or gain one by driving a few miles across a time zone.

2 nights, 2 retail dreams, boring but insistently similar. 1) Some underpants arrive in the mail, and I am mildly disappointed that the color is not what I ordered. 2) The woman behind the deli counter keeps telling me there is no coho, but I can see that there is coho in the case.

So I haven't been able to find a subtitled English version, only weird-ass dubbings. Maybe it comes through. Lula's address has been covered, but the degree to which he ripped Trump a new one, showing that the emperor has no clothes, has been underplayed.

Anna's parents gave me a Far Side collection for my birthday. Picked it up, opened to a random page, looked at a random cartoon... and it cracked me up.

So this guy ends up occupying his usual position comfortably in the bosom of this week's conventional wisdom, but in the first half, the spectacle of these hucksters retreating in unison is really something.
