Main conclusions from 2 days in Brisbane:
1) England can’t catch
2) Day-Night test matches suck for spectators at the ground

This might be the most I’ve ever seen Wales, let alone my home town Caerphilly, mentioned by any journalist outside of BBC Wales and @willhaycardiff.bsky.social

the hundred is over for the year and there are big changes on the horizon - many of them real, some of them imagined.

daisy reader catherine dwells on the latter and asks - what if the hundred were sponsored by wall's ice creams? 👇

The lions are lucky this is against Australia, South Africa would put 30-40 points just from scrums alone

Love the idea of a win predictor for a team that has never played together and there is zero data for… we’re so back #BILvARG

What an atmosphere at the ground tonight. The whole north stand was buzzing with both Cardiff and Munster fans

I’m sorry but we bottled that

At a family members house and the football is on. I’m still confused why the coach’s choose to be on the touchline shouting instructions. Surely they’d get better analysis and tactical knowledge sat watching replays and wide view shots of the game on a screen, than shouting on the the sidelines?

Fair play to Sheenan for finishing it off but that must be the least effort hattrick in Six Nations history?
Sit at the back of a 12 man maul twice and then a dolly walk in

Can’t wait for Wales to end their losing run AND win the Raeburn Shield next week 🏆🏆🏆

Let’s be honest, Piradi was just jealous of Murray’s hair

If that law is now suddenly officiated then about half the tries we see should be disallowed

That’s the most Matt Sherrat try I’ve ever seen… Sheedy’s done that chip many times this season

The French reads in defence today have been next level. World class stuff

Don’t think I’ve seen a team play as dirty and nasty as Ireland today, absolute villains of rugby at the moment

Positives: Gatland will be gone.

Negatives: Everything else.

At least we’ll never have Dallaglio telling us we’re winning…

Honestly, journalists are absolutely loving every second of this. Treating it like a reality tv show rather than world threateningly scary decisions

I feel angry and despair this morning. But most of all I feel sadness to my stomach. Watching yesterday honestly felt like a core aspect of my life being ripped apart. I used to love the SN, to spending time with family and friends discussing the games. Now it feels pointless and I feel lost.

I’ve just finished your book and it was very insightful. As someone interested in Welsh politics, what is interesting is how since COVID (where Welsh Ministers became more recognised) the trends you describe have filtered into the Welsh Government and media landscape.
