Still plenty in bloom here in central Scotland for #wildflowerhour - Wild Radish in an arable field, Jersey Cudweed in paving and Sweet Alison making a bid for freedom from a nearby planter.
The Cudweed is a recent coloniser, and seems to be spreading from Grangemouth along the Forth & Clyde Canal

and it's a good one!

The John Aitken Memorial Fountain at Govan Cross in Glasgow. It was erected in 1884 as a memorial to Govan's first medical officer, serving between 1864 and his death aged just 41 in 1880.

Powerful to see the five maquettes for the new Mandela statue for Glasgow. Brought back memories of meeting him in Newfoundland -- a story in itself -- not long after his release, and for my husband, a Mandela Marcher to London. Amandla!

Wish I could be there tomorrow, but still happy to be included with formidable films:

It’s 50 years today since the official opening of the Forties Field in the North Sea. The energy boom benefited many, but others believe the legacy has been squandered. I talked to experts, including the man who helped set up Norway’s oil fund! www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/6664...
Did the north east make the best of its energy boom 50 years after Queen Elizabeth opened the Forties Field?
