Stefano argues for using generative AI for brainstorming and ideation. However he says he never uses it for writing, only editing. He needs to come with his ideas and then let AI help him refine them

Stefano notes that well-being emerges from three experiences: competence, autonomy, connectedness. Generative AI can boost or harm these experiences. Orgs that deploy AI need to think about the human dimension and how AI is perceived by employees, not just the technical dimension

Interesting podcast on AI adoption. Stefani says AI is not about automating what we are doing now. It’s about automating what we are not already doing. Not about doing things cheaper and faster, but differently to create better products. Good way to think of it podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/d...

This is the golden age of AI. If you’re not using it you should. It’s useful and heavily subsidized and it has not been monetized with ads yet. It’s like when Uber first arrived and it was way cheaper than a taxi. You will never get better value for money. But soon, enshitification will set in,
I am honoured to announce I’ve been appointed as a member to the Order of Canada. Thank you to everyone for the support! I dedicate this to my late Mom who taught me so much about history, local independent media & research. I know that she would be, like me, screaming with joy! #orderofcanada

Farewell Quebec City. It has been very enjoyable.

What the…? Their marketing department should learn their product.

I am lucky to have groomed XC ski trails throughout Ottawa. Great way to spend a few hours on a sunny afternoon

Uhm, did Ontario even show up for class? 🤔

Great!. I like the concept and the interface is easy. I tested it for a locations I know (Calgary, Ottawa, Toronto) and I found the results to be pretty good. I think this is something travellers would really appreciate. Not sure all would agree with Canmore being budget friendly though 😜

Yes! He’d probably insist that it’s “the biggest, most beautiful razing in history. Even the British Agee!” Then he’d sell merch.

I’m always disappointed when politicians say they will cut “waste” to invest more elsewhere. It’s lazy and intellectually dishonest. It implies Departments don’t implement decisions as efficiently as possible. Cutting “waste” usually means cutting services. Are they are to timid to admit that?
To build the Canada we want for ourselves, we have to make responsible choices and bet big on Canadians.

We’re going to cut waste and spend less on government operations — so we can make the big investments that will grow our economy and create new opportunities for Canadians.

It was a great day to be biking in Gatineau Park.

This is satire, right?

According to Anna Wong and Danielle Demartino Booth, US data show that 90-100% of tariffs is passed through to the US. Suppliers are not cutting costs. 70-80% is paid by wholesalers/logistics (squeezing profits) and about 15% is paid by consumers

She acknowledges that Canada has a housing crisis and an affordability crisis, but while we have not always got things right, when you team is down, you don’t go and cheer for the opposing team, you take advantage of the cheap seats, you show up at the front, and you cheer like hell.

France’s Donald also says Canada is well positioned to supply the types of goods economists say the world will need more of…energy, electricity, meat, canola oil, potash, uranium, critical minerals

Good conversation with RBC chief economist, Frances Donald, on the Hurley Burley podcast. She is pretty optimistic about how well Canada has performed so far in the face of global trade disruption

Today I’m visiting Fort Wellington, which played an important role in protecting Canada from the Americans in the war of 1812 and subsequent rebellions in 1830s and Fenian raids of 1866. Its guns are still pointed at America

Well, it’s a good job we bought that squirrel proof bird feeder.

Do the other #G7 leaders take bets on who will get called out by Trump and then the loser has buy a round at the bar?

U.S. trade policy is shifting—tariffs, spheres of influence, fiscal nationalism. What’s the impact on Canada’s economy?
