When was the last time frontrunner elections like New York, Virginia, and New Jersey turned on those issues? -R

Consumer protection groups, why don’t you toot your own horns for once? More than any recent election, the issues on the table this year were consumer issues—landlord/tenant, childcare, mass transit, healthcare, utility costs—especially electricity, rising food prices and so on.

“It comes from you people, incredible people, good-looking people—too many good-looking people. I don’t like good-looking people. I never liked good-looking people, I’ll be honest with you. I’ve never admitted that before.”

Go figure. -R

Secondly, when he was in Japan, he ordered U.S. soldiers to go onto a U.S. aircraft carrier to hear his rambling speech. At one point here’s what he said:

What? Don’t Republicans eat too? Don’t lower income Republicans need these food supplements, especially in the red states ?

Add to Trump’s unstable personality the following episodes.

When asked about the approaching suspension of the SNAP food supplement programs, he replied since most of the food programs are used by Democrats, he was not interested in doing anything about it.

24 corporations are giving Trump millions to build his new White House ballroom.

16 of them have government contracts.

14 are facing federal enforcement actions.

Coincidence? We doubt it.

Would you have acted as Mr. Trump has as president of the United States? Can you accept behavior that you would not tolerate if you occupied the White House? asks @nader.org.

... they treated Johnson’s shutdown as an opportunity for a recess back home and entrenching their own political careers. Meanwhile hundreds of reporters at the House of Representatives are left without any newsworthy stories day after day. -R

However, instead of staying in the House and addressing Trump/GOP harms to hundreds of millions of Americans—including shattering the social safety net, consumer and worker protections and any preparedness for oncoming pandemic and climate violence—and putting forth a progressive, positive agenda...

GOP Speaker Mike Johnson has shut down the House of Representatives for 41 days. This provided a great opportunity for the House Democrats to hold shadow hearings in all their committees on Trump’s major destructive programs with prominent witnesses open to the media.

The political intimidation operates in both open sight—from the belligerent bully-in-chief Donald Trump, and in the shadows with serious anonymous threats to members of Congress, judges, and their families, says @nader.org.

Led by bigshot sycophants House Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune, they applaud his every bullying assault on America’s economic underclass including his own voters in the red states.

I hope these tens of millions of people will remember next November that the Congressional GOP unconstitutionally enabled this fascist dictator to spend or not spend taxpayer money as he sees fit.

The Washington Post on October 15th had a front page article describing how the bully-in-chief Donald Trump targets the most vulnerable people for his draconian and illegal budget cuts taken without Congressional authorization.

Bear in mind Gaza is a tiny enclave (the geographical size of Philadelphia) packed with civilians, targeted directly by Israeli bombers, artillery and snipers since October 7th 2023. -R

With a TNT equivalent of seven Hiroshima bombs delivered by the Israelis on 2.3 million totally defenseless and homeless and starving and sick people, 600,000 would still leave almost 3 out of 4 Palestinians alive which itself is improbable.
