TODAY'S THE DAY! It's one of the coolest dates of our lifetime.

Whether you go by month/day/year or day/month/year, if we write the date as one number, we will get a square number! Both sides can agree that today's date is a square date.

Started a new cleaning routine this August.
On Wednesdays, my husband and I do at least one small cleaning task (15-30 mins max).
It’s cool how much the little things make a difference!

Crowd source question:
What are your favorite Desmos activities for transformations? Are there ones with parabolas that you like?

Congrats!

Salad 3- baby kale with lemon vinaigrette, apples, shallot, and cheddar. Topped with some smoked trout! #salad

Salad 2: arugula, tomato, parm, with a lemon vinaigrette. I made the dressing with 2 parts olive oil to 1/2 parts lemon juice and champagne vinegar. Added some finely diced cilantro and a pinch of salt. The cherry tomatoes were a bit past their prime so I marinated them in a bit of dressing. #salad

Recipe from #seriouseats that inspired the salad. I made the dressing by the recipe and riffed on the salad ingredients to accommodate what we had available. www.seriouseats.com/trevisano-ra...

This salad of bitter radicchio, sweet citrus, and salty cheese will bring some brightness to your winter.

2025 is the year I learn to make salads.
First up: radicchio, arugula, orange, and some shaved ricotta salata. The dressing had oil, vinegar, pomegranate molasses, and Calabrian peppers. Somehow we had that stuff in the pantry. Got inspiration from #seriouseats - recipe in reply. #salad

Doing anything in moderation is just so hard. #goals

The second day of starting a new routine is the worst. #habit

Sounds lovely!

Received some delicious loose leaf tea as a Christmas gift. Love the combination of rooibos and green. What are your favorite teas? #tea #yum

Healthy eating goals for 2025: more fruits and vegetables and less salt.
I’m going to learn to make salads 🥗 and share the adventures!
Any of your favorites to share?

Yay for blue walls and candles! I struggle to write in public spaces. Too much going on to tune out the noise 🤓

Our dog has never tried, so we don’t know 🤓

My favorite place to write is at home in the blue room.

Happy Halloween!

I work for an institution that’s younger than me. Weird and wonderful. #iteachmath

This old pupper loves to play games. Our latest is one, two, three. He holds position and I toss three treats in different directions and he gets to find them! He’s a pro with finding treats one and two and usually needs a hint to find treat three (and it’s not always the last treat I toss!).

I feel this.

I taught in York. Moved across the state for the job. The policy was just a power play and everyone knew it was ridiculous.

The jeans thing for me feels empowering. When I taught in PA, we got sent home without pay for wearing jeans, even on inservice days 🙃

Favorite weeknight dinner is happening! #sheetpan
