US pumped hydro power capacity is about 22 GW.
It looks like battery storage will surpass that by the end of this year.
The pumped hydro will still store more energy, though. It can typically run for 10 hours or so; batteries just a couple hours. 🔌💡 www.eia.gov/todayinenerg...
