Another image done for the cutscenes in the Amiga OCS game I'm working on.
The game really needs to get a name at some point.

Hmmm... I just saw this picture in a Craigslist ad for an IBM XT and an HP LaserJet... the original. For some reason, it never occurred to me that the line started before the HP LaserJet Series II. I've never seen an original before. #vintagecomputing #retrocomputing

This is my Total Microcomputer Model 4000 computer. Technically the last of a rare Motorola 6800 based home computer that was a pioneer in an "all-in-one" computer. Six days left on @bzotto.bsky.social Kickstarter for his book detailing Sphere Corporation here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/bzo...

This sucks. I finally got a PAL VIC-20 (VC-20, actually) a while back and finally got around to testing it tonight. It would seem that the MOS 6561 VIC chip in it is bad. Getting messed up colors in games. Here's an example from Cheese and Onion.

29 years ago this week, the first sub-$1,000 PC with a built-in LCD display hit the market. And it was made in Missouri. The PC was called the Monorail. #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing dfarq.homeip.net/monorail-the...

So here's part 2 of my Retro Computer Room refresh (version 1.5). Moved some things around, added some things, you know, typical stuff. Let me know what you think! Link in reply below!

Looking at it, does it make you want to know what happened to this person?

31 years ago today, Intel acknowledged the FDIV bug in its Pentium CPUs that caused them to divide incorrectly. It had known about the flaw for 6 months, and it ultimately cost the company $475 million. #retrocomputing #vintagecomputing dfarq.homeip.net/the-pentium-...

I enjoy racing games but I have never really followed professional racing. That's why I'm amused by the only non-burned game I have for my CD32... Nigel Mansell's World Championship. To me, he's just a wax dummy abused by Jeremy Clarkson, et al.

Throwback Thursday ☎️ Before Wi-Fi or even Ethernet, early computer users connected to bulletin boards with acoustic coupler modems, literally strapping a phone handset into rubber cups to send and receive data over analog lines. #VintageComputing #RetroTech #VintageComputer

My SMD soldering skills are lacking so I decided to practice on this horribly battery-bombed Macintosh IIsi. The caps came off pretty easily but then I wanted to see if I could remove the destroyed VLSI chip. Not as many missing pads as I expected.

On this day in 1980, the ARPANET, the ancestor of the modern Internet, crashed for the first time. A faulty IMP (early router) brought the network down for hours. The solution? The first-ever network reboot. #VintageComputing #InternetHistory #ARPANET #RetroTech #VintageComputer
