Upcoming Node.js feature: Package import specifiers (*) can start with #/
github.com/nodejs/node/...

"imports": {
"#/*": "./*"
}

Why is this useful? Gives you more naming options. Previous solution (e.g.): "#root/*"

(*) exploringjs.com/js/book/ch_m...
module: allow subpath imports that start with `#/` by hybrist · Pull Request #60864 · nodejs/node
It's a common ecosystem pattern to map a source root directory to @/ but it requires special tooling support. This turns #/* into a more realistic alternative for that pattern. See: #49182

I needed to see which packages were pulling in six.

Two ways:

- uv tree --package six --invert → quick “who depends on this?” from uv.lock

- uv pip tree --package six --invert --show-version-specifiers → more pipdeptree-style, constraint-aware view from the actual env

This idea is getting even closer to "partial/mixed-mode captures" bsky.app/profile/hjvt...
Mixing capture modes between the pre-|| keyword and specifiers inside the body feels dirty though, and moves closures further from functions as well.
I haven't thought about this too hard, but I think explicit captures might have some nice interactions with theoretical partial borrows. In this case it'd could be a "partial capture by clone":
move(cx.request_name.clone()) || {
foo(cx.request_name); // request_name is a "partial clone" here
}

Tense stems: [-voice], MASC, SG
Lax stems: [+voice], FEM, PL

As for how agreement between words is applied, adjectives agree with the gender (MASC/FEM) of the head noun, while specifiers agree with the count (SG/PL) of the noun. Verbs agree with the count of their specifier.

nooo its peak... imo Rust can be REALLY nice to write and read compared to C/C++, even with all the lifetime annotations and type specifiers

the complexity is necessary for the amount of granular information in the code imo, and the syntax is very flexible once you really learn it

Yes absolutely!

I assumed it was limited to variables to avoid conflicts with formatting specifiers (and keep everything easily explainable). Maybe that wasn’t the reason

Call local police and complain there are men with guns stopping people from voting. Specifically say it's intimidating. Crime specifiers done.

juli you should add specifiers when you say "...we all agree that 'victims' actually means..."
to something like, "...we all agree that when he says 'victims' he actually means..."

especially if you're going to do this selective investigative journalism on bsky dot app

i guess additional specifiers:
i don't think it was a one shot. i'm 90% sure it's yuri. it's probably not manga specifically since it's in colour and it probably stretched along. so. yeah.

What tooling do you even need? You need to resolve bare module specifiers, and that's basically it.

Maybe a leak from somewhere. Google supports <foo>+<type>@<domain> kind of specifiers and this can be useful for at least proving the case occasionally.

No island murder mysteries tonight, but mlf.lol now has com.atproto.* as part of its "standard library" with some additional bug fixes.

Still undecided how I want to handle things like key specifiers and encoding... easy way out is @ annotations, but I had other ideas in mind for those.
