I like his mother too: “Art and museums are living spaces,” she said. “Life without art is not life.”

Also, "The fedora, angled just so, is his homage to French Resistance hero Jean Moulin." That's exactly the energy I needed. Especially from a 15-year-old French boy, in these uncertain times.

Lovely story.
Cool kid with an even cooler mother:

Last repost commentary but, yeah. That was EXACTLY the kind of behavior that had me withdrawing from most online spaces, especially creature art spaces because a lot of people in there don’t respect boundaries and will absolutely project whatever they want onto WHOEVER they want

dunno where this is coming from but the contrast with other spaces I've been in, in person too, is just wild. I wanna nurture this however I can, maybe through art or writing to express that and encourage it.

People want to be with other people. A recent event showcased the wisdom of William H Whyte, and I ask: why don’t our public spaces follow his lead? www.theglobeandmail.com/culture/art-...
Parks should be made for people. Why does such an obvious idea elude us?
We need to create spaces where people want to gather, as William H. Whyte argued, but the central requirements are sadly absent in Canadian public spaces

Lovely article about how murals and street art can be physically and mentally therapeutic. Art can bring small moments of serenity, connection and healing during difficult times. I love the theme of public art reaching people in their everyday spaces.

Public art may do more than simply brighten our streets
As murals pop up in laneways, one researcher asks how public art can play a role in improving public health.

Thank you to some of the Cullen fan spaces (thats where a lot of my art gets circulated) for talking about it and sharing it around in your servers, I really appreciate it

thanks to having private spaces to do more risque art with an audience, I slowly revamped how I think about depicting certain things in art

taking NSFW comms and Patreon made me realize that my personality and humanity don't get destroyed (that was fear instilled in me) when I draw more DARING art

I love these renders of that early TNG bridge concept by Tadeo D'Oria. @rekkert.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy

This style of bridge also featured in the “The Word of God” webcomic by @mark2000.bsky.social and @ryanthomasriddle.com

These ‘roads not taken’ designs are always so fascinating to me. /2

That wall looks amazing. It's so cool to see so much art like that in a real space instead of just digital spaces. It gives it sort of a realness XD

Unlit to lighting rendered view! Have spent some time filling in spaces with smaller clutter assets and updating textures. Aiming to set up some cameras for renders and prop close-ups so I can get some feedback on presentation 🌿

Even the lawns at the Radcliffe Camera have stories to tell. 👏

This new pattern, designed by University Parks team leader James, transforms one of Oxford’s most iconic spaces into a work of art.

Sure, argue about the choice of poems, poets, talk about taste, reading habits, preferences, all those great things poetry and art in public can inspire.

But arguing to remove poetry from public spaces is an attack on public life.

Update on this, I'm going to a doctor tomorrow to see what I can do. It's been painful to even brush my hair or grabbing cups : ( I've isolated myself from art spaces because such beautiful art just makes me want to draw more and that's why I've been offline haha. Wish my luck tomorrow : )

Haha! This is great!!! This kid has more savvy than most adults. And his mom, “Art and museums are living spaces,” she said. “Life without art is not life.”
Fantastic!

People really are like "Oh yeah, the thing that is ruining art, ruining online spaces, and making research hard? And killing the planet? And literally making us stupider?? Yes please"

It's never going to make sense to meeeee
