#seedlessness
One amazing thing about the fruits in #Spain is not just the taste but the seedlessness. I have had seedless tangerines and seedless oranges quite often before, but seedless limes and lemons are such a game changer for meal preparation! Give me a direct artery to the fruits of Madrid, please.

No. Seedlessness does not automatically mean a fruit is genetically modified. GMOs involve direct manipulation of an organism’s DNA in a lab, which is different from traditional breeding, polyploidy, or parthenogenesis.

Seedless fruits like bananas, watermelon, and grapes are often from the latter.

Dancy tangerines—the classic Florida tangerine—are in season! Intense, complex flavor, once a mainstay, almost impossible to find today. Mandarin cultivars bred for shelf life, seedlessness, and the elimination of flavor, hope, and joy now fill supermarkets instead.
