#science-#policy
A great format yesterday for a science-policy interaction, with participants from 4 parties, DG AGRI, scientists and 4 farmers from Romania, Denmark, Belgium. A vivid discussion on agroecology and the CAP. These are just 2 hours. Concerns about the CAP are grave, so a further dialogue is needed.

I'm running in Maine, of course I have feelings about Trans Rights and Women's sports.

These two things aren't mutually exclusive. We're the party of science. It's time we use science to create meaningful policy.

Dr. Joanna Harper's research as an example.

While nearly 200 nations gather for the COP30 climate summit, the US is a prominent no-show. The Trump administration isn't just skipping; it's actively pursuing a six-point agenda to dismantle climate policy, rolling back rules on pollution, renewables, science funding, and disaster preparedness.
Countries are gathering for climate negotiations. Here's where the U.S. stands
Nearly 200 countries gather every year at Conference of the Parties (COP) meetings to discuss and negotiate ways to address global climate change. Brazil will host COP30 from November 10-21 in the northern city of Belém. Wagner Meier/Getty Images

While attorneys are the main audience, this would be a great year for political science, public policy, public administration, health law, labor law, immigration law etc etc etc folks to attend because it FREE (usually ~$350) and 100% ONLINE.

You won’t be taking someone’s spot!
Can you help me get the word out? We are having trouble reaching government attorneys due to the shutdown.

This is 6 hours of CLE of FREE through the ABA. But you don’t have to be an attorney to sign up!

Thread of topics we will cover:
NEWS! The ABA Admin Law Conference is FREE this year, in light of the shutdown. Great for admin law practitioners, academics, and students. It'll be Nov. 21 but you'll also be able to access recordings for 30 days afterwards.
