The Ultimate SIEM/EDR Architect’s Guide: Mastering Cross-Platform Data Management at Scale
Introduction: Modern Security Operations Centers (SOCs) are drowning in data, making the role of a Security Engineering Director more critical than ever. This position requires a unique blend of automation expertise, infrastructure-as-code proficiency, and deep security knowledge to design and maintain robust SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) ecosystems that can operate effectively across diverse enterprise environments.

Well, yes. And no. There are many scenarios where you need to step out to a low platform or ground level from a train. Just think evacuation mid route. And there are many engineering solutions to this problem on the market, this is just lazy design.

Since the meeting is way out near the beltway I got to take the red line to Forest Glen. Of all the stations in the system Forest Glen might be the most deeply WMATA—a genuine engineering marvel built entirely out of concrete, all to serve some medium density garden apartments, SFHs, and a P and R

I’m gonna be there too!

Please come. I wanna see you here and learning study design. If you care about developer experience, UX, platform engineering, resilience engineering, or observability, you wanna be learning from this. Trust me!
Folks!

I'm so looking forward to this Catharsis Dev Science Office Hour. Still some spots if you want to join us November 13th to do a hackathon-style mad dash of a study design!

(nazi) German engineering is when you have 6 different procurement chains for the same platform because everyone needs a kickback so no one can actually get an economy of scale going while you're getting the shit bombed out of you
motherfucker you are hollowing the industrial base out with anduril vaporware nonsense

He could have given that Twitter is now infested with misinformation and manipulation. Anytime someone brings up E. Musk or Twitter. I feel a duty to share the awareness. The platform is also overrunned by deepfakes and social engineering.

What's weird to me is you seem to spend a lot of time arguing that you shouldn't be spending time pushing policies you believe in and instead be reverse engineering a platform based on polling popularity

in software engineering there is the concept of an “anti-pattern,” which a deleterious solution that often ignores or works against the architectural benefits of the platform.

anyway we are rife with ai anti-patterns. because no one has been taught what their failure modes and strengths are.
Federal Judges— or staff, but same-same— used "AI" to summarize & draft rulings, issued them w/o checking the work, leading to basic factual errors, & thus undermining the facticity & validity of the rulings entire.

Gee. Who Could Have Foreseen. *stares directly into the camera like in the office*
Two federal judges say use of AI led to errors in US court rulings
Two federal judges admitted in response to an inquiry by U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley that members of their staff used artificial intelligence to help prepare recent court orders that Grassley called "error-ridden."

Platform screen doors (PSDs) in Seoul were fundamentally a political issue. Once political support was secured, financial and engineering barriers quickly gave way.
