The relay click of a multisync monitor changing modes. The sound of the same monitor when you pressed the degauss button. Bliss…

I've got a lovely NEC Multisync I need to recap. It works fine as you see here, but will loose focus when warmed up. Common failure on them. Easy enough to do, just need the time! Here is my USB ZIP 250 next to my iMac G3 rev 2 in Grape!

I figured out which wire I forgot to connect on the Apple IIgs to NEC MultiSync 3D adapter. Now I can enjoy some razor sharp RGB on Moon Patrol.

And lastly, the CROWN JEWEL of the collection!

A 2013 NEC MultiSync P242W, featuring a luxurious 1920x1200 resolution IPS screen. This one is for the TRUE professionals. That's why we BOUGHT IT and carried it PAINSTAKINGLY on our backs(!) for 1 km all the way home. This bad boy is HEAVY!

Yes but the hitch is that a LOT of the games only work in PAL mode, so you’ll need a multisync monitor to get mileage out of it! I also recommend the honeybee competition controller

I keep all my receipts. My first PC (not even a real IBM) in 1989 cost me $4090. A 12MHz 286 with 5.25" floppy, 40MB HD, VGA Wonder video card, keyboard, mouse, and Packard Bell multisync monitor. It was literally worth more than the car I was driving at the time.

This is the YOKO setup, the endgame. MiSTerCade, NEO-GEO 161-in-1 and the Recalbox RGB JAMMA with a multisync monitor for Dreamcast and Naomi. The last piece of the puzzle is a MVS->JAMMA converter for the 4-button NEO-GEO games. OSSC and NAC Splitfire to capture it all. 😎 #retrogaming #shump #stg

Started off with a Vic-20, taught myself to program on that. Later, I picked up an Osborne 1, Z80 with CP/M and packaged WordStar, SuperCalc and CBasic. Then the T5200 I think, then NEC tower (with MultiSync monitor), then Dell tower(s), then started building my own.

I remember when I bought my first color monitor. The original NEC Multisync. For coding.

And there we go. A happy Compaq Prolinea 4/25s running Windows 3.1. I’ve not pictured the monitor because it’s not a compaq original but an NEC Multisync which will be more than useful in the future.

Also, most displays can use the "Generic Multisync VESA monitor" driver. However, I don't know if the Windows 98 version supports widescreen on that.
