Because I played the Dinocop demo last night, I want to share (part of) an unfinished story I wrote in 2019 about dinosaur detectives

Story text: Georgia examined the footprints on the ground. Long, narrow claw imprints sculpted the dirtied earth. They led North toward a spring where a large T-Rex laid on the ground, covered in bloodied scratches and bite wounds, lifeless. More bloody tracks of the same kind ran off to the East. A triceratops leaned over the body. “Definitely another homicide,” he scoffed as he maneuvered his magnifying glass over the lacerations, “You don’t eat a body by accident.” Cannibalism is a tough subject even after all the new government legislation being in place for decades. Some of the older dinosaurs can’t seem to get that murdering fellow thinkers is somehow a sick and sadistic endeavor. This is why we have farms for (prehistoric bird name) and (other non-dinosaur creature at this time period). You buy it, you eat it. End of story. But some people just can’t let the old ways go. Georgia shook her head, “And what a waste of good talent. You know who this is, Jerry?” Jerry moved his magnifier over to the victim’s face and dropped it suddenly, “Williams! But he doesn’t work this sector of the jungle. What would he be doing out here?” “That, is exactly what we’re here for,” Georgia said as she put on her latex gloves and rummaged into Mister Williams’s vest pockets.
