Doesn't change the fact that Trump incited insurgency on Jan 6th.

Incited an insurrection that got people killed.
November 8, 2025 at 9:40 PM
“210 defendants testified they were following Trump’s lead by joining the insurrection… you can’t listen to the speech without concluding he incited it.”

@mrjamesob.bsky.social on the absurdity of BBC leadership going down over an edit in the speech— new casualties in his war on the truth.

"It wouldn't have crossed anybody's mind at the BBC that they'd have to defend themselves against accusations of undermining the idea that he incited an insurrection."

You incited a takeover.

Incited a riot.

I listened to that speech live, as most of us did. There was nothing fucking calming about it. Donald Trump incited the Insurrection of January 6th. Case closed

Most importantly, understand that years later—after you've escaped 5 state and federal felony prosecutions due to your political rivals' charity—if one of Earth's most respected media outlets correctly assesses that you expected, incited, and intended violence, you're entitled to millions of dollars

Neither Tim Davie nor Deborah Turness incited an insurrection against the US Capitol. Congressman didn’t have to flee for their lives because of a BBC Panorama edit.

That all happened because of President Donald Trump. If he didn’t resign, it’s truly *insane* that anyone else does.

I was under the impression that Trump incited an insurrection by spending months lying to his followers that the election was stolen and then asking them to show up at the Capitol on January 6th. But now I'm learning that I only thought that bc of an edit in a 2024 BBC documentary. Oops!

How the hell is it defamatory to edit a speech in which a man incited an insurrection, in a way that makes it sound as if he incited an insurrection? These people are mad.
November 10, 2025 at 4:55 PM
It can't be repeated enough - in an attempt to stay in office against the will of the voters, Donald Trump incited a deadly insurrection against our own government in which hundreds of police officers were beaten for hours and our Capitol was ransacked.

“a Panorama documentary misled viewers when it edited a speech by Trump, making it look like he was explicitly urging people to attack the US Capitol.”

We all saw the speech & heard all the testimony. Trump orchestrated & incited the Jan 6 insurrection.

Why have BBC bosses Tim Davie and Deborah Turness resigned after Trump documentary? - BBC News
The BBC has come under fire over a Panorama documentary that was accused of misleadingly editing a speech by Donald Trump.

BREAKING: Odo of Bayeux resigns after claims that tapestry was edited to make it appear that William of Normandy incited his army to invade England.

SPOILER ALERT: Trump incited the crowd on Jan 6th. It was an attempted insurrection. It only failed because his supporters were so stupid they preferred to shit on desks and spread their excrement across the walls rather than eliminate the opposition as they were supposed to.

If Trump sues the BBC for slander or libel, it would be in a UK court. As far as I know, UK laws would require:
1. Trump prove the report did harm to his reputation (which it didn't).
2. The BBC prove he incited an insurrection (which he did).
... So all he's trying to do is intimidate broadcasters

30 minute programme clumsily edits a 54 min speech in a way that doesn’t mislead the audience because the whole world watched the ensuing riot on live TV and rioters testified that Trump incited them in court as a defence. Hope he sues. The BBC will win.

Last night marked 87 years since Kristallnacht, the Night of Broken Glass—a violent antisemitic riot incited by the Nazis.

As we remember these horrors, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish community and recommit to combating the rise in antisemitism & all forms of hate.

Only members of the Proud Boys & Boogaloo thug behave like these.
Blame ait all on trump whom:
Incited them in 2016
Convicted & jailed for breaking the law - he pardoned them all
Now they are ICE "enforcing the law"

NAUGHTY: Doctoring footage to imply Trump incited the 6 Jan riots
COMPLETELY FINE: Freeing all the rioters being pretty much the first thing he does in office

okaaaay gotcha

So Trump wants $1bn from the BBC for giving the entirely accurate impression that he incited an attempted insurrection in which people died.
November 10, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Trump incited violence on 6 January 2021.

An outside producer made a bad edit when there was plenty of unedited material to show that.

Today Trump's granting pardons to dozens of people involved in that day's attempt to sabotage the handover of power.

The BBC flagelllates itself.
