A red wizard strides through a ruined stone gate; he wields his staff, & upon it a banner. The banner reads, in futhorc runes, "WEALDLISTE HELRUNENA," or "Anarchy of Hellrunes." "Hellrune" of course, being an extremely cool term for a wizard or sorcerer. The banner is black, with a pointed red bottom section. The runes are in red, on the black portion, along with a stylized Wynn in a circle, after the typical Anarchy symbol. On the bottom red portion, there is a black wizard's tower. In the far distance, a citadel topped by the Statue of liberty is in flames. Nearer, a golden statue of George Washington lies rotting in marshland. Upon the broken archway, "1776" is scrawled, in Roman numerals. In the foreground, upon a stone, sits a skull with one glowing eye, & one American eagle eyeball. Atop the skull sits a claw, holding a golden crown. In the crown, is Kamala Harris in the Vegas orb; the whole artifact represents the rotting, glittering falsehood of American oligarchy. The wizard looks skeptical, yet searching. He casts a light shadow upon the stone path before him, as he seeks a way to leave America behind.

The "æ" letter is called æsh, or ash if you can't use the ligature, from the Old English æsc, meaning ash tree, and is the transliteration of the older futhorc (Anglo-Frisian) rune ᚫ.

Um dos teclados tematizados n'O Senhor dos Anéis, oficialmente licenciados pela Drop. Este tem a carcaça cinza, com teclas brancas e cinzas. As letras são duplas: cada tecla tem a letra romana em vermelho e a letra correspondente em futhorc em preto. Na carcaça do teclado também há um desenho que remete a um pedaço do Portão-oeste de Moria.

For me, the fuþorc, & the Old English Rune Poem, were a doorway into Heathenry. Despite the thin Christian overlay, this poem's a direct link through language to a poet making use of a tradition. The pie reconstructions, *thurisaz etc., are too remote when we have thorn still on our tongue daily...

I began a kinda tongue-in -cheek modern day Rune Poem, for the fuþorc, keeping to the sound, meaning & verse form. This for feoh:

Some Rezo-related drawings due to tossing him into an RP recently. This naturally provided an excuse to give him a new outfit and draw some whump. (Or at least, implied whump.)
Fanart of Rezo, from Slayers, in a different outfit than usual. The outfit consists of a long, dull red coat with a high, stiff collar, brown cuffs, and a brown lapel. A green sash is tied around his waist and he has bandages wrapped around his hands, leaving his fingers exposed. Rezo also has a satchel slung over one shoulder which he is reaching into with a slight frown on his face, and he's carrying a plain, whiteish grey staff. His face is gaunt, with hollow cheeks and shadows under his eyes. Fanart of Rezo, from Slayers, along with some caption text/design notes. To the left is a drawing of him with his back turned to the viewer and bare from the waist up. He is terribly thin and has numerous scars on his back and one on the back of his hand. The text next to the drawing reads "Lost a ton of weight. (Used more for his healing abilities than as a laborer, but Slayers magic burns calories, so...) Pretty standard for Outlanders, really. He made various escape attempts over the years, and was accordingly punished. He now wears wrappings on his hands to hide a branding mark." Next to that text is a drawing of the mark, the Futhorc fehu rune. On the right is a shoulders-up drawing of Rezo with his eyes opened, looking disgruntled. The text next to it reads "He can open his eyes now, but he's still blind. He can see if it's light or dark but that's it. He's a lil' mad about it."

Apesar de não ser muito aprofundado, já que eu ainda farei outro vídeo completo de pronúncia anglo-saxã, estou fazendo uma breve introdução às futhorc (runas anglo-saxãs) para explicar as confusões geradas pela latinização (runas > alfabeto latino) dessas palavras. E eu acho isso MUITO interessante!
