A1: LOVE this idea. For me it means that Ts should ignite opportunities for improvement for Ss through reflection, and critical thinking - this should cause growth, and growth requires some work! #formativechat

A3: Great question. I am taking postgrad classes and STILL do this. I think it's human psychology & the message we send by giving numerical grades. Perhaps comments first, then grades later? #formativechat

A2: Barrier will ALWAYS be time, for me, especially this year. However, using voice messages with extensions like Mote or Kaizena has been game-changing! Lets you speak your feedback instead of type the same thing over, and over, and over. #formativechat

Doing #FormativeChat this week about student engagement. Taking paper tasks and putting them online doesn't improve engagement.

They were designed for paper, turning digital without enhancement makes it worse.

A2: I also wonder about creating self-generating feedback loops. @Quizlet learn does a great job at gamifying learning, but also personally targeting the words and terms that students still need to master #formativechat
