Macintosh 512Ke is up and running with a System 6.0.8, FloppyEMU, PicoPSU, TashTalk, RGB2HDMI, PS2 keyboard adapter and original M0100 mouse.

Just how Apple intended.

FloppyEmu hooked up as a HDD with an image and the GUI started up perfectly. But I’m guessing that free memory is going to be a problem. Going to get a RAM card for this IIgs. Time for build an RGB cable and clean up this video.

If I had some disks or a FloppyEmu I would for sure load that up! Plan on doing that sometime this winter, but I need to work on some other projects first!

That sucks about the FloppyEmu letting out the magic smoke, but the rest are really cool.

The FloppyEmu is so neat.

Real disk drives are fun but can be a major pain.

The terminal program I use is ModemMGR btw, the IIc handles up to 115,200 baud; which is really impressive for the time!

I tried the Dec 2023 firmware update for FloppyEMU under harsh conditions (Mac Plus, System 6.0.8) so you don't have to.
New stuff:
1) .sit, .hqx., .bin compressed files as disk-like volumes
2) hda volumes from bluescsi
3) iso (tough under sys6)

I just bought this Apple II UniDisk 3.5” interface card. It comes in a rather squashed box. This card was designed to add 3.5” UniDisk floppy drives to an Apple II, but it also acts as a SmartPort interface, which lets you run hard disk images from a FloppyEmu or connect a FujiNet device.

I gotta git myself that FloppyEmu. :D

MicroSD → SD adapter → USB-C adapter → MacBook, to copy disk images to a FloppyEmu and boot them on a real Apple II.

The future is awesome.

In my new video, I explain why MOOF files are useful for the vintage Mac community and how to use them in emulation and with your hardware.

I just got one last week and tried it out on my SE/30 and Performa 6200 really impressed with the functionality! Floppyemu has been on my list for a while too. Good to learn about limitations to work within, kinda what this hobby is all about 😊 thanks!

MacRacquetball v2.0 has been on Macintosh Garden's "1980s Mac titles about to be lost forever" list for a long time. I found it and cracked it, and now you can play it in your browser (or copy it to a FloppyEmu and play it on real hardware). It requires a black & white Mac with at least 1 MB of RAM.

Woke up today to power on my Mac Plus like you so. Startup bong but then flashing ? disk and a repeated chirp. Wouldn't boot off BlueSCSI, FloppyEMU or floppy. Finally reseated the mouse and keyboard connections and Happy Mac was back.

that's a USB-C PSU sticking out of it, and some wires from the BMoW disk tap, to allow it to boot from a FloppyEmu :)

The floppyemu is the best one! It’s what I use
