#fix-design
it really do boil down to

FTM "Wow I never see this archetype/sense of design for male chars. Let's fix that."

MTF "Wow I never this archetype/sense of design for female chars. Let's fix that."

one thing I love about modern UI design is the lack of error messages. Ideally, the user should have no idea why their app is malfunctioning or what they can do to fix it. this is how a phone asserts dominance.

Unfortunately my house was built in 2010. The only haunting going on here is from the death of common sense design and developer integrity. I long for a forsaken Victorian child.

Well said on #literacy!

"Ministers should bring everyone together to design and fund real solutions to solve the problem, not just add another test that drains the time and energy needed to fix it"

More reading tests won’t help children improve their literacy – here’s what will | Letters
Letters: Michael Robinson says teachers, governors and unions need to get round the table and find real solutions, not argue about testing for 13-year-olds. Plus letters from Simon Gibbs, Helen Ellio...

Ever been in a meeting that fucking sucks? Rhetorical question.

Unfortunately, getting people to what you want requires that you tell them about it — and that's a meeting. Trying to get rid of meetings simply creates a dysfunctional work environment. The only fix is to design the meetings right.
This meeting could have been a picnic
Well-designed meetings are just as important to our work as well-designed artifacts.

Thank you design history classes for teaching me how gilding works so I can fix this fucking picture fraaaaaame

trying to fit on a protest sign: "the founders of american government were horrible people even by the standards of their time, and our misguided veneration of them has led to an insane deification of a constitution that needs an overhaul in order to fix major design problems that lead to fascism"

And here’s the thing, could I ask ChatGPT to make me a design, I throw it into my design software and boom, I have “original” artwork? You bet. But I choose to pay the original designers for their work, even though I often have to fix and completely re-do files to make them laser ready.

The legendary "let's fix Sonic's design" era of the Sonic 4 thread.

the system isn’t “broken” or “hijacked by a few bad apples”, it is working as it was intended to work

removing a few senators doesn’t fix the inherent design flaws. the system NEEDS. TO. GO.

50s sci-fi + Mother references and people still insult it and try to "fix it"... My guys you're witnessing Peak Pokemon design

More stupidity:
- this is going to eat up more hours from higher paying roles trying to fix than it would to just hire QA
- no chance of catching design or content bugs like “this didn’t make sense”
- bloating the QA process means MASSIVELY slowing down the speed at which your team can move

ChatGPT cannot generate print resolution files, and so increasingly I have to explain to people that I can't print their files as is and I have to charge them design time to fix it and they get soooooo mad

Sometimes there’s nothing quite so freeing as just throwing up your hands and going no, I wasn’t satisfied with the final design here and it’s finally time to fix it, and that fix may or may not involve baby pink

One thing that’s an under talked about thing in game design is how often you find something that doesn’t work and the fix is to do the exact opposite thing.

Yeah the original tweet just seems like a liberal trying to fix a system that’s broken by design. Can’t make a liberal democracy actually work for the people because that’s not what liberal democracies exist for.

Made this design months ago and stick by it 100%.

Frontend devs be like:
“Just a small UI fix.”
3 hours later: redesigned the entire app, added dark mode, and accidentally invented a new design system. 🎨💻

But that was upstream of the institution and design of Congress. If someone is unwilling to obey election results, no Constitutional design can fix that.

i might have to draw all angles of my mtt dark world design, and definitely fix the top of his hair..

I bet if LEGO sued Roblox for stealing the minifig design that would fix the problem of Roblox being a child predator's perfect hunting grounds.

he looks like his grandpa …. also added something similar to yunas long piece in the back in her ffx-2 design in the back but i still have to fix it 🥲

I believe Trailblazer's design was trying to reflect her heritage tastefully without doing the usual "Super-Chief"/Dani Moonstar bit. Points to DK for making her plus size and to you for not trying to "fix" that like others have.

this offenses contains zero vertical game and adding a deep threat mid season cannot fix that. they already employ elijah moore and curtis samuel, receivers who can move! it's a design problem

It's so sad that YGO is my favorite game design and art-wise but the balance is horrible and they have zero reason to ever fix it.
