It's really difficult to choose my favorites from the DA amis I make (aside from huge Blackwall, which is my Favorite™️), but I love challenging myself with making various DA creatures

A (freehanded!) crocheted Blackwall (Dragon Age Inquisition) amigurumi, standing outside in the early morning sunlight in front of the branches of a pine tree. His arms are at his sides as if he's walking forward. He is 18"/46cm tall. He's wearing his casual outfit—brown gambeson, dark brown boots and gloves—and each piece of his clothing is detailed. His gambeson has white X stitching on his right upper arm, a belt (with a buckle, belt holes, and a "leather" strap to keep the tail down), a collar, ties and clasps down the front, and beneath the gambeson, a metallic chain shirt (peeking out from the open part beneath his belt, and a lighter tunic showing just beneath the very bottom of the gambeson. His boots and gloves are belted, and each belt has buckles, belt holes, and most have the same "leather" strap to hold the tails down. His gloves also are gloves, not mittens, so each hand has five fingers and a thumb. His boots are flat and dark grey on the bottoms, so he can stand (with some support). A belt is cinched around his waist, and beneath it is red/brown padding with white trim. This belt has a round buckle (all the other buckles on his outfit are square). Additionally, the belt is overly large, as it is in game, and so it loops around itself and hangs a bit—visible in pictures I'll put in the replies. His face is highly detailed and sculpted, using multiple sculpting techniques. His nose is crooked and protrudes from his face, his hair, including beard and mustache, are brushed yarn (and then needle felted to shape his facial hair and brows). His eyes are needle felted as well, and chalk pastels were used to color and shade his face to the best of my ability. Small amounts of chalk pastels were also used on his hair to lighten parts of his beard and temples. And, in all of that, I only stabbed myself with the felting needle once! :D A crocheted deepstalker is posed on a concrete porch with the rainy backdrop of a yard in springtime behind it. The deepstalker has a body similar to a velociraptor, with extended fingers on its hands, a long tail, and a tall neck that ends in a round, open mouth full of sharp teeth. It's kind of like a cross between a lizard and a leech. The body is crocheted in acrylic yarn, then wired and stuffed with poly-fil. I followed the velociraptor pattern up to the end of the body, then did my own thing for the head and neck, as well as all the detailing. Details were added with needle-felting and dry-brushing with chalk pastels, then lightly brushing over the body with a thin! coating of Mod Podge. The result isn't exactly soft or fluffy, but due to the wire frame, almost every part of it can be adjusted for posing: the tail, neck, head, arms, legs, and feet, so it's perfect for display. 10" tall x 13" long. Modified from the pattern "Velociraptor" by Megan Lapp (Crafty Intentions) A crocheted griffon (Assan from Dragon Age: The Veilguard) sits on an outdoor bench with a green lilac bush behind him. His wings are up, and he's resting on his belly, his front paws pointing out, and his tail curled to his side. His tail and wings are wired to be poseable. I used (and modified) the pattern "Griffin" by Kayla Shea. Throw back to when I wrote this velociraptor crochet pattern... Noodling around on possibly writing more dinosaurs. What's your favorite dinosaur, and why?

I wonder…has anyone seen the Awakening Guide art for Deepstalkers? It is by far one of my favorite versions of deepstalker art in dragon age. Gonna spoiler it for spider like multi-eyes (hopefully I do this right)

Compared to their Deep Roads counterparts who have a fattier, earthy, and richer in taste. Deepstalkers for those unfamiliar, are predators primarily found in the Deep Roads. Thus, any dish that features this animal is more common with dwarves than other communities. However, it is not common fare even among us dwarves. They are not considered a delicacy to most like nug or deep mushrooms are, rather a dish reserved for those of more humble means. In Orzammar, deepstalkers are considered less than food, often only consumed during famines or by casteless. Yet, I have heard the Legion of the Dead also dine on these creatures. I was introduced to this variation of the dish through a surly clam farmer dwarf I met off the coast of Jader. I have never had the pleasure of tasting deepstalker before and so I learned the surprising texture of deepstalker is one more akin to fish or reptile. He noted that the “steaks” were best from the tail and that due to the texture, it was best to treat them as you would a fatty fish steak. Tie them up, keep the skin on, and roast or pan fry them. He noted that it was best served with mushrooms and dark greens and root vegetables. Which I agree is a fine pairing, as the steaks I was served were oily and more fishy than I had expected. I would expect a nice herbed cream sauce would also pair very well with this. Or perhaps a crumbly, aged cheese. - Anjou Baskar
