ふたつ目の議席配分の際に使われているドント式をサンラゲ式(サンラグ式)に変えてみるという案。
日本の現行制度で使われているドント式は、大きい政党に有利に出来ており、ラトビア等で使われているサンラゲ式は中小政党にやや有利になる。
仮にA党、B党、C党、D党があったとして、Aが42000票、Bが28000票、Cが15000票、Dが7000票だったとする。
ドント方式は、この各政党ごとの総得票数をそれぞれ自然数(1、2、3、4、…)で割っていき、その割った商(得票数)が大きい順に定数分(定数10なら10個)議席を配分していくというやり方。

This is (or was) my uncle Ewel, who died in a test flight over the Guadalupe Mtns. in 1943. The wreckage was not found and identified until the early 1980’s. My father, who was 14 at the time, never got over that loss.
