Concise, informative, important.
Resistance is not futile.
Is the shutdown over? Not yet.
Tonight’s vote was only step 1 of 5.
There’s still another 60-vote hurdle, amendments, AND then the House.
Pressure matters right now—especially on Kaine, Rosen, Hassan, Shaheen.
Stay loud.

No one has yet mentioned how fuck awful difficult it is to write clear, concise, comprehensive requirements. Even with AI it’s still garbage in garbage out

Most concise summary of the last 1.5 months of politics
Trump: I'm dismantling the Constitution, building a paramilitary fascist army loyal only to me, demolishing the White House, and blowing up the US economy for my billionaire cronies

Schumer: Okay, but you have to extend subsidies for corporate health care

Trump: No

Schumer: Okay

"Following the scandal of the BBC editing a clip of Donald Trump to make it look like he was inciting an insurrection in a more concise way than he actually did..."
Trump sues Everybody!

Je devrais écrire une liste de conseils de rédaction concise en anglais pour les francophones.

Conseil numéro 1: La plupart des "Note that" et des adverbes en début de phrase ne servent à rien.

Precise. Concise.

What I took from the State of Play Japan was how much I'd like the US to adapt. It was concise & informative, didn't take too long on 1 thing. The host & those being interviewed had charisma, like they had fun being there. The overall presentation had a wonderfully chill vibe.

best part of this is how elon musk's definition of "swindler" is also the most concise possible summary of how he became a billionaire
Rogan, talking about Zohran Mamdani: "What else has he done that makes him a swindler?"

Musk: " Um, well, I, I guess if you say, uh, what I mean, if you, if say, if you say..."

Thinking about Andor S1E5 "The Axe Forgets." Incredible that just the Eye of Aldhani arc has more concise and meaningful character work than all of the cinematic Star Wars released by Disney.

One man think tank Anthony unpacked the #SupremeCourt decision on #SNAP - clear, eloquent, & concise as always.

Worth 3 minutes of your time as it doesn't mean what everyone seems to think it means.

Washington Football Team was the greatest team name in the history of sports. Clear, concise, delivered on its promise 100% of the time.

Her mastery of the wan yue, the “subtle and concise” poetic style, was no act of fragility, but strategy. Beneath her elegant verses flowed veiled critiques of war, politics, and patriarchy.

Many of us have been saying this for years! It’s got everything: concise, powerful, unambiguous.

Everyone should use this, the empathy threat.
I feel like we have the opportunity to turn David Lynch's quote into this moment's "Keep Calm and Carry On" and it's a far better rallying cry too.

YES!!!!

"Linear algebraic sociopathy" (last post in the thread).

DAMN, but that's concise and accurate.
Identifying flaws in GenAI unfortunately offers a pretext for claims that perfecting the product is just a matter of time & money. So pointing to chatbots’ role in,say, suicides can only go so far if we don’t also identify the systemic, irresolvable lack of Gen AI’s human commitment bc math has none

yeah i would like to hear a clear and concise “we don’t care if you get murdered” tbh

Sometimes people ask me how my wife feels about me launching into historical lectures about popular culture at random moments, essentially triggered by a single word.

I asked my wife about how linen used to be dyed and got a concise, well-phrased historical lecture with several good examples.

In the absence of information and deprioritization of concise communications, you allow bad actors the room they need to propagate misinformation and manipulate the user base you brag about accruing. Sucks to suck! They could do better but that’s a “dev todo” for “maybe next year”.

This is a must-read for everyone.

Puts a clear and concise light on the SNAP shitshow with the Supreme Court and why Justice Jackson issued the stay.

Before Hunger Games, The Purge and the 2024 Election, there was Battle Royale; Kinji Fukasaku's final film. The failure of humanity, depicted through unapologetic, concise bursts of violence; appropriately helmed by Fukasaku's cinematic heir Takeshi Kitano.

Jfc, can he just say “Trump stopped your SNAP benefits”
Keep it simple stupid.
I agree with him politically, but the Republicans win because simple, concise messaging.
“Trump took away your SNAP”

I normally avoid all reporting about 3I 'alien' BS, even highly critical stories, to not grant it even more popularity - but this concise response may come handy when Your Crazy Uncle (TM) next time tells you NASA is covering up an alien invasion ...

This is why rules have to be clear, concise, and specific.

“Wishing harm” is too vague. The rules need to specify direct sincere threats

If one of my mutuals makes a joke to me and I respond lightheartedly “Omg I want to kill you for this”, then it only takes one biased mod (or AI) to ban me.
So many people bragging about their naivety*

She wasn’t given a time out she was banned and not informed and it took them several fucking days to come up with an excuse after they have done this MULTIPLE times

Even if you think using that song lyric is a threat, do you seriously not get it?
