Soft Pastels, Charcoal on 8X10 Canvas, 2020. Along with being my first Jurassic Park themed piece based on the novel, this little Dilophosaurus (which I affectionately call Dulaps) was also my first official attempt at the classic way of sealing dry medium works using skim milk. Before I sprayed Little Dulap with the milk, the colors were muted and not as vibrant as they became in the finished work. I was - and still am! - highly impressed with this classic, cheap and healthier way of protecting my dry medium artworks.
