You're having a dinner party with characters from Star Trek. What four shapeshifting women are you inviting?
September 4, 2025 at 6:02 AM
Yes, they should spin off into the Martia Universe where that moment changed everything.

So the camp commander on Rura Penthe killed the real Kirk and let the Chameloid escape.

like did the chameloid branch, or the meat changeling branch, truly become incompatible with the great link?

or did the link just grow so insular and stale that they forgot how to be anything else?

and it was odo, and laas and the first chameloid, who learned how much more they could do, or become

and did the chameloid mutation develop from exposure to some other virus that turned one of the 100 kal-el changeling seed pod babies into the first chameloid, which made them incompatible with the great link, and maybe even poisonous to it?

for that matter, did bashir cure the virus or did odo?

we know changelings can be made wierder bc that's where the meat changelings came from, is section 31 doing genetic manipulation to develop a virus during the war

and we only know of two chameloids, both from the movie era, one of whom was IN section 31

so were they grafting chameloid dna?

Her as well as Quasi, the chameloid from Section 31. problem with both of them is we dont have any information on them. They seem to be completely different from The Founders. dont even know if they have a gender. could be that they're just amorphous tubes. there's just nothing on them. 🫤

Martia, the Chameloid, could change sexes. Though I'm sure you considered "her" already.

Not for me...

But this was the story with Boba Fett for years...

In Star Trek, probably the chameloid in Undiscovered Country...

It has some cool ideas with the main cast and I really liked Ahlok and Georgiou’s interplay.
With a series we’d have see a lot more of Zeph and Mell, and having a Chameloid in the movie and not actually doing anything with that apart from some gags and a clutch save during the chase.

Slovenian/Chameloid hybrid prolly
April 26, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Oh yes the aliens featured in Sec31 was the best part TBH. I was so glad to see a Chameloid. And agreed I love thay different shapshifters change differently and view solids differently too I would think.

I would love to see different Chameloid changing effects. the Founders are puddles of goo. Quasi from Sec31 was wildly different and I loved it. I'd love to see a shape-shifter who changed from the inside out. Like, their external body became a discardable cocoon. They look normal, then start...

Sounds like something a Chameloid would say.

I've always wanted to know more about Martia and Chameloids. One of my favorite things in Star Trek that there are characters that only appear briefly but feel like there is so much more about them and their cultures that we could know about which let's the imaginatuon thrive.

“We possess Chameloid genetic material in our medical storage.”

I suppose there is no accounting for taste w/r/t the writing, but the majority of characters in Section 31 were, in fact, tied to Trek history. Alok Sahar/Eugenics Wars, Quasi/Chameloid, Melle & Dada Noe/Deltan, PG & San/Mirror Universe, Rachel fucking Garrett. It's set in the Lost Era.
It’s not bad because it’s different. It’s bad because of the poor writing and the lack of respect for the show’s history.

The Chameloid scene is so much funnier after learn what kind of guy Shatner is
February 14, 2025 at 5:57 PM
It's all fanservice! They've got a chameloid, a eugenics war survivor, a Rachel Garret, and it falls so flat. It is trying so hard to be edgy and the vibe is just Lego Star Wars Christmas Special
February 12, 2025 at 3:16 AM
Ultimately, this doesn't matter and has no real bearing on the problems with STAR TREK: SECTION 31, but if Chameloids can just turn into goop, then aren't they basically just Changelings?

Section 31 Wasted Both Of Its Classic Star Trek Alien Comebacks

Section 31 had a Chameloid and a Deltan – two species with really cool abilities. Unfortunately, neither mattered at all to the plot of the movie.
