Just had a fun idea to draft the letter that the BBC should send back to Trump's lawyer.

Let me see if I can make this work as a blogpost.

I’d Rather Be a Mouse Than an Elf — Prismatic Wasteland
I love pretending to be an elf just as much as the next guy, but it pales in comparison to the joys of pretending to be a mouse with a sewing needle sword at my side.

Last ones showing the gallery access. It really has been a very successful renovation. It's not exactly the weather now but the deck is well used and very neighbourly

'The Divine Dissatisfaction Of Making Art' - Martha Graham
I wrote a blog post about it a long while back:

Does this resonate with you? Martha's quote is one of my favourites, I just love it (see the full quote in the blog post).

I remember reading a blogpost detailing an American family’s budget from the 1800s, and they were spending more on installment plans for their winter coats than their actual rent. Haiti would seem unimaginably luxurious to them.

As I tried to leave the bar, a local historic preservationist came up and insisted on talking to me, told me that I had "got it wrong" with a recent blogpost. Oh really? I said. 🤔 And it went from there. Within 5 mins, the guy was jabbing his finger in my direction shouting "this guy is sick!!!" 😂

Thinking about these blogposts again with Shelved By Genre announcing they're covering tolkien

the idea that someone in the 70s-80s would write up a screen by screen adventure game recreation of the ENTIRETY of the books' middle-earth (map from said blogpost seen here) endlessly fascinates me

Reminds me of an old blogpost I read somewhere. OD&D isn't a medieval game, it's a cowboy game. The whole premise is around going out into a "wild frontier" devoid of "civilization" and killing the people who already live there. The manifest destiny and american colonialism are baked into the premis
If someone objects, I pose them a question: can you legitimately not see why fascists love the notion of atomized rugged individualistic "adventurers" killing people and taking their stuff being considered normal within the game world?
