He *was* an engineer (connecting Berlin fibre optics after the wall came down), moved into technical translation, but has always made things, including crazy furniture, so he's a bit of both, really. He was at AutomataFest in May - enjoying his (semi)retirement! I doubt he cares about Google, heh.
