its really not often i'm pining for a game so close to release date but the feelings i had for aitsf2 when i played it a few months ago are still pretty fresh and i want to see those characters again...

This is, unironically, the most I've enjoyed a piece of media since Xenoblade 3 or AITSF2 released. I think that drinking helps me relax and not overthink everything happening on screen.

AITSF: 1.5/5.0 (boring copaganda with trial-and-error gameplay and a plot that ends basically right as it gets interesting)
AITSF2: 1.0/5.0 (boring copaganda. the gameplay is better but the characters and story are so much worse.)

and yeah, hearing aitsf2 was disappointing is what made me avoid it so far. i cant be burned like ztd did to me again 😵💫 not my dear mizuki

I thought AITSF2 was terrible personally. The first game was fine, just OK. Definitely not on the same level as 999/VLR but it was OK. Then the second game took a hot doodoo fart on everything I liked in AITSF1. =(

I was pretty annoyed with how AITSF2 broke a lot of its own continuity / no longer made much sense all just to pander to blonde Date. I'd much rather he not be in the sequel at all.
This seems to be a spin-off though, so I can at least give it that. Still annoys me.

also not to be a certain way but there was a part of me that was a little sad that the date-hitomi romance didn't work out. i mean sure date is a gross pig but. well at least hitomi and iris would've been happy. aitsf2 really did rob aitsf1 of like everything good in its ending.

i think the weirdest thing about aitsf2 by far is that they actively go out of their way to hide one of the biggest spoilers of the first game while simultaneously insisting the player know about the first game's general plot (it is literally the first thing the game asks of you).

I liked aitsf2 but I think I might prefer 1 solely just because Date is my favortie character and the best of the 3 protags imo.

or maybe just any amount of reflection on stuff that happened in the first game. idk. i can see why they wouldnt include it in case someone hadnt played the first one but cmon. maybe im asking too much..... i sound like someone who complained about aitsf2 Except that was peak so .....

i usually play handheld off the charger to limit my playtime and the juxtaposition between aitsf2 where i eventually caved and played plugged in vs brothership where i can't even last the whole 3 hours before i can't stand playing the game anymore... its so sad

[aitsf2 spoilers!!!!!] unsure which dance number i like more because i think the first game's has stronger emotional beats but the second game has the babygirls ryuki and the better date dancing/singing which means the world to me. impossible decision

oh they weren't kidding, aitsf2's big twists are zero escape as fuuuck. they kind of did this in ztd actually, i can see why people who never played vlr or ztd would have gotten mad lol
