I literally just started working on chapter 2, so I have not been stagnant! Everyone who've I've asked to test read chapter one has given the same positive feedback:
- Wordbuilding is good
- Character personalities and their dialogue is amusing and solid
- The writing paints a clear picture

oh yeah back when i was semi ironically into HP wordbuilding i had a whole rant about how almost nobody in the wizarding world engages in economically productive activity. everyone either works for the govt or write a crank newsletter or sits around their decaying mansion doing evil plotting

These games have some of the funniest writing I've ever seen in games, and some incredibly weird and goofy wordbuilding.

Highly recommend them both, but if you only buy one then WoL is probably the best place to start.
West of Loathing and Shadows Over Loathing are on sale, only funny discounts allowed this time!

(Regretting not setting WoL's price so that 69% off would equal $4.20.)

I feel like it's a testament to TF:ONE's wordbuilding that you can infer so much about Inferno/Red Alert, despite Inferno basically existing as just a name on a scoreboard

Just from that, you know they belong to different social classes, their backgrounds, their size difference (roughly), it's wild

also, it's interesting how a 360 flip of a super hetero trad dynamics doesn't work to de-"problematic" it and just can end up kind of ?? without a huge wordbuilding effort -- I saw a recent romance that was like ~omg he's a big billionaire but he's actually! a submissive ~ aren't we so unique~

My weekly word is: cattywampus; My research indicated this word is now used mainly in the American south. But I grew up using it in Wisconsin. Go figure.

As my first Fire emblem game, I really liked how straightforward and simplistic it was in terms of gameplay, in turn making it really fun and addictive. The wordbuilding was pretty incomprehensible though. I've played FE1 and 2 and I still don't understand what the hell is going on

Alguien está desarrollando una hiperfijación con la música de Amphoreus y no voy a decir quién soy.

Porque no quiero ser tan simp, pero es que tremendo wordbuilding haría con mi antiguo pj de rp gracias a esto...

For me its genuinely mainly the writing and wordbuilding. It obvious viv has alot of ideas but she trys to cramp them all into two shows and it just comes out underbacked idk

Wordbuilding isn't just about fun names for locations and creating languages that are super tough to say!
November 8, 2025 at 12:28 PM
100% true. it's why i never pursued it harder because shitty scheduling on my part & differing interests. like, i may WANT to rp, but between my replies probably being sporadic & not good at it, yeahhhhhh. lmao, same, my wordbuilding is awful. rp with strangers too? god no, i die from my own cringe.

Si la historia me gusta, necesito saber el 110% de su mundo y de todo. Absolutamente cada detalle explicado y que se ahonde en el wordbuilding para que sea narrativamente congruente.

Resumen: Deep Lore es PEC para mí

I've reversed engineered my wordbuilding from my characters. Like what would their setting look like? What about their world can craft their aesthetics? If that helps 😅

I love love worldbuilding and I'm terrible with plots so you win some, you lose some!

Ishu, The Brightest Lord of Far Stars.

A character from my wordbuilding project, Tane.
A superhuman made from DNA of Jesus Christ, who used decieval to stop wars and sent humans to colonize outer space, but forbade Earthling from leaving the Solar system as a punishment for their sins of the past.

My weekly word for 9 February 2025 is: idyll. Appropriate for Valentine's Day, I think. The picture is from Second Life (the male avatar was my husband's, the female is mine), not AI generated. #wordbuilding #words

High fantasy can be fun, but it needs a lot more wordbuilding than other fantasy.
Yay for writing again. 🥳

also, speech conventions among younger people are Super fascinating! its really cool to see an increase of compounding in wordbuilding, and adoption of more contextual ways of speaking. and who would i be if i judged kids for saying 'skibidi boyfailure' when i Still say 'my scrungly blorbo!! ÚwÙ'
every generation tends to adopt some degree of 'the children like the wrong things' when thats what our parent's gen said about us, etc, and i don't think that's a good thing and want to try my best to be open minded about new trends. its nostalgia bias all the way down.
ok so while its not really my thing skibidi toilet is genuinely a very competent work, makes skillful use of selective graphical glitches reminiscient of gary's mod, and is i think a prime example of dadaistic uncanny-horror in a cultural vein like slenderman, SCPs, and creepypasas from my childhood
