I've got my tea (Starfruit Green), and all the critters are taken care of which means it is writing time!
I have to draft a small batch of words to connect to the next chapter and my brain doesn't want too. It's very content to stay in Revision Mode.

Everything is still a bit of a mess. It's readable! But I can tell that there are some threads that will need to be strengthened.

Something that I'm still wrestling with is the fact that it just might take me 2 years to write a book. I *really* want to reach the point where I can release 2 books a year! but looking back over the last year, it's very little wonder as to why #TheForestBook didn't get finished #kidlitchat

I'm happy to report that I've been able to save and reuse quite a bit of those 30k words I initially tossed during the replotting phase.

There's still time, but #TheForestBook is shaping up to be, as I estimated, just a wee bit bigger than The Necromancer's Apprentice at ~60k words.
It's honestly a really nice superpower to have considering I am such a lean drafter 😅 My first drafts are rarely more than 40k
