From NYT clown Zeynep's failed PLRC fundraising ploy:

RobWust said his work would have come “to an almost complete stop without the PatientLed funding” because traditional funding sources are so agonizingly slow.

Or, maybe no one ethical would fund your antiscience garbage.

The best thing you can do is not catch it, #MaskUp with an FFP2 or 3 around people. But if you do get it, please don't end up like me. Heed this advice re your recovery.

Two take-home messages fom the #ME/CFS #Fachtagung2024 in Fulda:

1️⃣ @RobWust says, there‘s fiber type plasticity in sceletal muscle. In pts. with LC or ME, there are higher quantities of type 2 fibers, which are less oxidative and more glycolytic.

the best way to prevent longcovid is not to be infected with SARS2, but if you do get covid (as most people have more than once), the best things you can do to prevent longcovid are: get paxlovid / antiviral(s), and REST.

the acute symptoms may be awful, or they may be so mild you almost didn’t think you were sick. either way, you’re at risk for developing longcovid, or post-acute symptoms lasting at least 3mo, if not longer, sometimes indefinitely.

once you’re infected, REST. see 🧵⬇️ for more info on longcovid.
