Staff Writer  The 2025 edition of the Bank Windhoek Red Run has returned with a total prize pool of N$60,000.  The event will take place on Saturday, 9 August, at the Ramblers Sports Club in Windhoek. Organised in partnership with the /Ae //Gams Sports Club, the event offers race distances of five kilometres, ten kilometres, and 21.1 kilometres.  The first 1,000 participants to register will receive a free Bank Windhoek Red Run t-shirt. This year’s event is themed “Run with Heart, Run with Love” and will be a timed race, with a strict cut-off finish time of 11:30 on race day.  Bank Windhoek noted that routes will be clearly marked, water points will be available throughout, and vendors will also offer food and drinks at the venue. Bank Windhoek’s head of stakeholder engagement, corporate social responsibility and sponsorships, Bronwyn Moody, said the Red Run highlights the bank’s commitment to promoting health and fitness in the community.  “We encourage everyone to lace up their running shoes and prepare for an actively rewarding day,” she said.  “Whether you are running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, the Bank Windhoek Red Run promises a day of high energy and unforgettable memories.” The Red Run is an annual event aimed at encouraging both social and competitive running.  Entry fees range from N$50 to N$150, and the registration deadline is Sunday, 20 July 2025, at midnight. Participants can register via Bank Windhoek’s social media platforms.
