Those PiDP-11s are so cool. I got myself a 10 a few months ago and once I get a chance to build it I'll be onto the 11.

I talked with the folks running the soldering stations at the convention and I have their permission to bring this WAY MORE ADVANCED project than anything they offer and finish the soldering at @seattlein2025.org.

I promise not to spend the entire weekend on it.

These are serious blinkenlights.

The first 'real' computer I ever worked on was the PDP-11/70. I have a pidp-11 on my desk at work as a reminder.

Well, inventoried parts before leaving for California, and soldered a few while washing a load of laundry. Not a lot of progress, but not a lot of time, either...

But there are emulators for both.

Playing a bit with the PDP-8 under Simh endeared the machines to me with their very small set of instructions. A byproduct are my still to be assembled PiDP-8 and PiDP-11 kits.

I'm sure I'll get the PiDP-10 one day.

If you have a warm spot in your heart for old #dec gear, then you probably already know about Oscar Vermeulen's PiDP series including the PiDP-8, PiDP-10, and my personal favorite, the PiDP-11.

He has a year-end newsletter on his site that you'll want to […]

I see that the PiDP-11 has already been mentioned. In the next couple months, Oscar ought to be releasing a PiDP-10 as well. The prototypes look very sexy.

If there's a VT-100 that needs a home, tell me...I have VT-[2-4]20s but the only VT-100 I ever owned I lost in 1994 when I left college.
