Great photo. I have seen one once at OldMoor. I wasn’t as close as that. It was competing for my attention with the Bittern in the reeds.

Does anyone know what these metal things are?
There are many of them on the curb along one side of the road that runs over the M1 from Strelley Hall in #Nottingham, where it passes the entrance to Oldmoor Wood.

Lovely walk recently, to and through Oldmoor Wood, Strelley, #Nottingham. Followed by coffee and cake in the Mulberry Tree Café at Strelley Hall.
