Last night I learned that Karl Malone received votes for Most Improved Player of the Year in the season AFTER he won his first MVP. This has inspired me to examine the complete joke of the #NBAMostImprovedPlayer award. Or, as the NBA likes to call it today, the George Mikan Trophy.
