The difference being I suspect the miniatures were early Heroics & Ros or Leicester Micromodels* whose gun barrels were not fragile like GHQ which break if you sneeze near them or some 3D prints (* indeed LMM's were cut pieces of actual wire)

if you want to talk about domain focused micromodels, then yes, there's discussions to be had about their usefulness

but it's never that and always cover for the shitty idea that dumping all of human culture into a bingo tumbler will result in anything approximating "intelligence"
