@bosak There was a strong green cast in several shots in that location that day, not so apparent on the rest of the roll. There are all those little green reflectors: maybe that? That hedgerow didn't turn until the cold snap the following week; the temperature-sensitve trees were still very […]

For this #HillfortsWednesday, it's a favourite one: Eildon Hill North near Melrose, seen here from the road to Newstead (Trimontium). It's on the left in this picture, with one of its companions - Eildon Mid Hill - on the right, and can be seen for miles. 1/2

✨These initial wreaths are still dancing out the door ✨ They’ve had a chic little makeover since last year. I really like the style of the letters I used for my hedgerow wreaths, so I’ve carried them over to the Christmas baubles as well 🎄  I love how elegant they look 🤩

First snow flakes falling in Central Park. Scattered roses and lilacs still blooming. A northern cardinal settles into a hedgerow.

And if you work in a public service setting, in the UK, you can get free trees from The Woodland Trust. These hedgerow plants will be planted by my students in the next few weeks.

Gloomy day for a walk, but the autumnal colours are nice at least!

A Robin today chip chipping in the hedgerow as I ate lunch on the deck. Warm and sunny here in Tarn et Garonne. #FirstBirdOfMyDay

Bit of a cheeky ask - if a professional knows about #UK #law and would be willing to give feedback on these signs, I'd really appreciate it - we're trying to dissuade hunting and dumping in the village, but the parish isn't well-off.

Gorgeous start to the morning - the mist was hanging in the valley over the river and canal, completely obscuring the woods, but the sky was a bright blue and the sun picked out all the shades of autumn in the trees and bracken.

From Becky Smith:
I am really enjoying sculpting little creatures. Little Tipperton the rabbit loves bell ringing, especially at Christmas, playing acorn cricket with his team, the Hedgerow Harriers and making/eating all kinds of cake. Apparently his specialty is Battenburg

Visit to nearby nature reserve a few days ago and came across an Egyptian Goose showing off its white wing bar and a Greylag Goose, a pale grey bird with pink legs and an orange bill. Berries on the Guelder-rose looking succulent and a Herb Robert was flowering in the hedgerow.
