For this week's #FridayBookRecs, I have pulled together some of my favorite science fiction series. If you have been wanting to find a book you like and live in that universe for a while, here is your chance.

It's Friday, so that means #FridayBookRecs! For Halloween I thought magical realism would be appropriate. The genre presents "a realistic view of the world while incorporating magical elements, often blurring the lines between speculation and reality." #books ✨📚✨

For #FridayBookRecs: books by trans, non-binary, genderqueer, or two-spirit authors. They're a minority in publishing so are harder to find if you aren't looking. This was difficult for me to pull together and I realize I need to read more by QTPOC folks & from outside the US. Open to recs!

It's Friday, which means #FridayBookRecs! This week we are doing micro-histories, which are a social history of a specific thing. These are all written in a narrative-style, so if you're more of a fiction lover at heart, these will appeal to you, too. 📚

Time for #FridayBookRecs! Years ago I noticed I was reading almost all books written by white people in the US and decided to change that. If you've noticed that, too, you might like this list of books across fiction genres written by Native American, First Nations, Métis, and Inuit authors.

It's Friday, time for #FridayBookRecs: Space Science Fiction. They include space ships, aliens, & long trips with colorful characters. I like them because they say something about who we are, how we connect to one another, and what it means to live in the universe. I've personally read all of these.
