#FORScan
I’ve built or modified plenty of 4WD trucks (here are 2 of my currents) to have front and rear lockers but the electronics on these even with Forscan and some laptop skills would be daunting.

That, or, just a parts swap and some Forscan tomfoolery.

It’s everywhere, even in my Ford Transit. All it took to enable factory cruise control, which it didn’t already have, was adding the steering wheel buttons for cruise control and a bit of tweaking in FORScan through an OBD2 interface.

Spent some time today using Forscan to change some settings on my Lighting, like enabling the glare free headlights and getting rid of all the dings it makes when you get in. Oh, and I got rid of that ugly af Ford splash screen that plays when you get in.

Tinkering with stuff is so much fun.

There are also model-specific apps like FORScan Lite, which works with Ford vehicles and presents more specific information.

Which OBD2 software? Many of them work just fine under Wine/Linux, such as FORScan. old.reddit.com/r/FORScan/co...

I succesfully got FORScan running on Ubuntu using WINE, and I couldn't find much info on getting it working so I thought I'd make this post to...

Oh, I’ve used CarScanner, LeafSpy, ForScan, Scan My Tesla with several ODB adapters. But having a way to get “advanced” info built in is so great. In my case today I was checking on battery temperatures and looking at how much they would drop after parking in a cold, windy environment.

ForScan change required otherwise it's expecting the NX head unit to show/supply Climate Control to user, where it now has a separate panel with buttons (buttons!).

Waiting on yet more parts, but in theory we keep DAB and reverse camera with two more cables. Also needs a microphone wiring in.

Finally finished fitting CarPlay to our 2012 Ford S-Max. Complicated because it came with a Blaupunkt NX Sat Nav unit, fancy for the time, woeful for today.

Fitted "lower spec" 2 DIN frame, separate climate control panel and new fascia to fit aftermarket head unit. And changed config via ForScan.

From what I’ve been reading, it seems like the truck enables a PWM to dim the lights for various reasons. That signal is the wrong voltage for the LEDs, causing the flickering.

I might be able to fix it by using FORScan to update the ECM to use the appropriate voltage, but I have no idea. 😅

Omg! I finally got all the codes cleared on my F250 . Had to relearn a couple modules. Yay Forscan.

You can disable Vehicle Shutdown Timer without Forscan. This just disabled it turning on again with each re-start?

Enabled #DogMode in the #F150Lightning using #FORScan :)

Disable Vehicle Shutdown Timer then you can leave the AC running all day long.

I bought some vehicle hardware off eBay and the instructions involve letting a stranger not only access my computer, but also write information to my vehicle’s computer.

Yes, it is because Forscan is not intuitive and even an auto mechanic may be overwhelmed with it but…wow.

More specifically, ForScan.

Which, is a fucking awesome dick joke, if intended, I’m just now realizing.
