#FAT32
Linux can both read and write to windows drives, If your drives are NTFS or fat32 then it should read it just fine

FAT32 would run out WELL before 22GB (around 4GB).

Are you downloading it directly to your PC or to some external storage?

If external storage, do you know how it's formatted? File systems like FAT32 don't like single files this large.

I'd try downloading it directly to your PC if you haven't already and you have space.

Yeah. I've enjoyed my time off of discord. Now I'm working to basically disconnect myself from the internet. Like destroying an SD Card right now trying to shove over 50 thousand songs onto it only to run into a fat32 limitation with the file names and how many can be in a single folder.

So I'm legitimately heading towards some fat32 file system limitations. Holy shit. Send help.

to make matters worse, each partition type has a different method of changing UUIDs. makes it really hard to figure out how to do it.
a quick example with the most likely 3 here:

oooh! I'll check it out later zhen.

First need a new external HDD or SSD for my PC.
Zhe one my games are installed on still is a FAT32, and steam won't let games get updated or even installed on it. Can't move what I have over to anozher HDD as it's too much data.
And my C drive is for YouTube.

I should maybe say in TRYING to do a BIOS flash. Followed the instructions. Renamed the BIOS file, formatted to FAT32. Put it in the designated reflash USB port. Error code should change to F2 and an LED should start flashing to show it’s in progress but. It just isn’t lmao

Got it working! Even though I formatted it as fat32 the goggles did not like it until it formatted it.

128gb is what i have for mine, i've heard anything above that causes issues

also remember to convert it to fat32 or it won't work on 3ds

Protogens will look at you with a straight face and tell you they are converting you to fat32 format before eating you

My car only plays MP3, WAV, and WMA, from a HFS+ or EXT3 formatted drive. It doesn't take FAT of any flavor or NTFS. It seems like there was ONE exception. Zune MP3 players and Vista Certified devices. Then it works fine with NTFS and FAT32 partitions.

So i was trying to format an SD card to FAT32 so i could use it in my 3DS and it took a hella long time only for the Command Prompt to say the volume (128 GB) is too big for FAT32 so i decided to try again AND IT STILL DIDN’T WORK. Why must everything be like this?
November 5, 2025 at 4:53 AM
Oh! You just have to convert as cards to fat32 storage system so you need the software for that?

I might even suggest three if possible. One for each system, and last one for shared files.
If you can only do two, I'd still recommend putting shared files in their own partition that's compatible with both systems. I'd imagine FAT32 would work well.

I also modded my 3ds! It's not too tricky though! I followed this guide for it.

You will need a micro SD card adapter and an SD card reader (flash drives are ok) but you'll also need a program to format it to a FAT32 (Which is very easy!)

Oh that's sick, I HATE fucking around with Windows format tools these days. FAT32 seems to have been mostly deprecated for the normies

I bought a 512GB flash drive which will hopefully work to hold everything. I think Xbox 360 only supports FAT32?
