#ErrorRates
Thanks everyone for another terrific #SDinGOV

Train journey south is an opportunity to get started on the sticky notes from my workshop on #ErrorRates and #DataQuality. A lot to reflect on

Plus, need to update @pixlz.com as she had to miss out due to family emergency.

Always a pleasure to listen to @kateldn.bsky.social on service design at the organisational level and to reflect on the implications for those of us in the trenches

Especially “what doesn’t work”, also maybe known as #ErrorRates

My workshop at UXConnect in Aarhus, Denmark was "Error rates and data quality", idea being that if we want to get the best out of AI, it probably helps to put good quality data into it.

In today's episode of #FixTheForms, I've finished writing up the workshop on #ErrorRates and #DataQuality that I ran #SDinGOV

Extra thanks to @pixlz.com for help with prep - sadly, she couldn't make it due to a family emergency

New blog post from me, part of thinking about #ErrorRates and #DataQuality

If we want to know our error rates, what do we count as an error?

… roll forwards 30 years and I’m having much better conversations about #ErrorRates and #DataQuality but I fear that the belief “AI is magic” will still be the winner, especially now the (apparent) cost* to the user is so low

In today's episode of #FixTheForms, a surprising twist on my series of workshops on #ErrorRates and #DataQuality. I thought I wrapped them up at #SDinGOV in Edinburgh, but no! Catch an online version at Virtual SDinGOV in March 26.

Plus, as you’ve found, if you can start with something relatively neutral such as the #ErrorRates, that’s a great conversation-opener and opportunity to get colleagues across assorted areas interested in making changes together.

In today’s episode of #FixTheForms, Professor Pamela Heard dissects the way that people who need help with their food bills in the USA may lose that support due to #ErrorRates

Note that a “problem along the way” such as a missing document is treated as an error even when the outcome is correct.
Fascinating discussion of error rates and help procedural errors are calculated in a high stakes metric.

Then we fine the states
And punish recipients.
