vaguely wondering if writing a PDS that uses datomic is a good idea or worth bothering with (i have never used datomic or written a PDS)

Dynamic, #functional & ready for the real world 💥 @lambduhhh.bsky.social‬ shows how #Clojure + #Datomic handle complex systems with surprising ease. Still doubting #dynamic typing in FP? Think again! 🟣💛

Hrm, I’m confused about the sentiment of your comment? Actually, @nubank.com.br compensates me really well using cash (which of course I convert into datomic stories and cat food for my kitty) I understand if your nocturnal nature means you’ll be snoozing - maybe use video as a lullaby?

saw a really interesting critical talk of datomic. i want to see more talks like "we tried this and this is what went wrong"

VoltDB strongly encourages you to act like it doesn’t have interactive transactions docs.voltdb.com/UsingVoltDB/...

Datomic is just unusual overall. jepsen.io/analyses/dat... 1.2 Transaction Model is the simplest overview I saw.

I'm going to speak about MySQL, RavenDB, and Datomic at Systems Distributed 2024, June 27 & 28th, in New York:

Então, Clojure é a linguagem, closure/clausura é um conceito de programação. O Nubank "comprou" a empresa que mantinha/criou o Clojure e Datomic, e de lá pra cá decolou ainda mais a linguagem e ecossistema. De mercado é Java > Kotlin > Scala > Clojure > Groovy. Mas tem demanda sim, pra Clojure.

it's been awesome having @adham-omran.com `join` us for "Doing Datomic Mob Programming" sessions in clojure.camp 🎉

last week we discussed learning goals to steer the direction of the meetup for the rest of year and honestly I'm soo excited about what's next!

stay tuned :) #Clojure #Datomic

Reminds me of #WPF and #MVVM but in #Clojure. Time to go dig into Om/React, Pedestal, Datomic and core.logic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNkYYYyfF48

Microservices and k8s + message queue architectures can be seen as workaround for runtime deficiencies; some of these deficiencies are missing Clojure + Datomic service-oriented architectures :)

i wanna learn Datomic

Oh yeah, I should subscribe to your lab. Datomic reminds me of a way of storing data I thought of for a calendar, where everything would just be a SQL transaction and the displayed state would be the result of all of those. ACID and CRDT for free.

The stack is Clojure/Datomic & TypeScript. The MCP part is all custom, built from scratch. I may open source that part, as there's not a lot out there - also the component that performs the readability transform. I want to add ld+json support first, along with some other bits and pieces.

Writing a minimal CRM with #Clojure and #Datomic was quite nice, it was built in 2 weeks and supports a lot of features for lead management

Dealing with the notion entities and thinking about their flow with a dozen functions or so made it fast to develop

What makes Nubank run at an insane scale with just ~3000 engineers?
Immutable values, Datomic, Clojure — and simplicity.

@texhewson Interesting, I'll check that out! In terms of format if I was building it myself, I'm tempted to use something like Datomic https://www.datomic.com/benefits.html which stores as EAV+T (a triple plus a time); very amenable to semantic triple processing, but it's unclear that it needs […]
