Paris is a joy to cycle and skateboard in.

I remember a joyful day skateboarding round the city on a well established and extensive segregated bike lane infrastructure in 2012.

This study explores a novel surface modification approach to enhance the cyclability of high-voltage LiCoO2 (LCO) batteries. The researchers coated the LCO with nano-sized entropy materials (Li-La-Ti-Zr-Co-O, Nano-MEO), which formed a multifunctional protective layer.

This idea that we can cut thousands off of public access simply to fuel the desire of a few who "don't like to see them" is absolutely disgusting. Walkabilty and cyclability is inclusive to all people, both underprivileged and privileged. Automobiles are exclusive and the sole cause of traffic jams.

I'm encouraging my local council to improve cyclability. One of the key counter arguments is that its hilly (not much tbh).

Good 2-3 hour ride in Cherry valley duvall. I forgot how awesome this park is with so many trails on just the cusp of cyclability and so few people off the main trail.

The feeling of many manufacturers seems to be that if it has a motor they don't have to bother about weight/ cyclability. Obviously there are exceptions.

There is plenty of land area in the USA but that doesn't mean sprawling out is a good idea. It has been shown that despite what car and oil companies say, it is in fact not. Safety, accessibility by ensuring walkability & cyclability, building housing & community should be paramount everywhere.

Our mayor is a cycle only guy, I think that helps. There’s a lot of pushback from drivers here but he’s really pushing the ROI benefits of a walkability/cyclability city to business, developers, and home owners. It seems to be working :)

Great piece. Living in Cambridge and now in London has made me think very carefully about where to live in the future. They are eye-opening (and, in Cambridge's case, body-rattling) examples of cyclability. Driver attitudes are also strong contributors.
