Ravens are so cute (I know they would take my eyes, given the chance, but still!). This last week, I saw raven couples making out on street lights in Whitehorse, Carmacks and Carcross.

Livinator spent the summer in Carcross. He loved it. Very different there.
The Caribou Hotel in Carcross, Yukon has a long history.
Built during the Klondike Gold Rush, it is said there are two ghosts who haunt the building.
One is Bessie a former owner, and the other is her beloved parrot Polly.
This is the story.

A stamp was also issued of her by Canada Post. As for the hotel, it is now a Yukon Historic Site.

She grew up near Carcross where her father, Kaachgaawaa, was the head of the Tlingit crow clan. Her mother, Gus'duteen, was a member of the Tagish wolf clan.
