A 4th order fresnel lens from the now decommisioned Cape Arago lighthouse in Oregon. Around 500 lbs. Handmade in Paris. I used to sit on the beach at night and watch this thing throw light across a dark ocean. Coos bay museum.

Today was a great day for a hike along the coast! The seals were perched up on the rocks with their babies but kept getting swept off by the incoming tides. I think they were getting annoyed because they kept barking 🦭📣😂
