#Camelids
Can someone slip some dromedary serum in my morning coffee?

Camelids don't get enough love!!
I guess one of my students was upset that I forgot to grade on a curve… and decided to provide me with a reminder for next time! (🎨 by @artbyhornbuckle.bsky.social) #TFTuesday

Nanobodies derived from camelids show potential for treating brain disorders such as schizophrenia and Alzheimer's, offering improved brain penetration and reduced side effects in preclinical studies. doi.org/g989fh
Nanobodies from camels and llamas offer promise for treating schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease
Nanobodies—tiny proteins derived from animals in the camelid family including camels, llamas, and alpacas—could be useful in treating brain disorders like schizophrenia and Alzheimer's disease.

Hi! We need lice for our diversity and adaptation project. Specifically, we need lice from zebras, camelids (camels, llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, guanacos) & aardvarks. If you or someone you know might have lice, I'm happy to discuss our inclusive collaboration plans!

Indeed. Though by the very design of the puzzle whether the camelids are mutant or not must remain unknown.😁

Camelids and oaks.

Yeah because the llamas and alpacas make the nanobodies. Camelids I believe and sharks are the only one that make those special variant of antibodies.

I love The Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook by Robson and Ekarius for info on animal sourced fibers. I tend to use mostly wool/wool blends because my hands prefer the give wool provides. A wool/silk blend would have shine and drape from the silk. I’m allergic to camelids & rabbit, so I skip those.

I fell off of the couch. Just needs a camel spitting at him. I like camelids.

Unique monovalent nanobodies made in camelids have impressive neutralization capacity.
Using them to make one-size-fits-all antivenins for poisonous reptiles was a no brainer.

Thanks for doing it!

Shouldn't alpacas vote blue by default? Just like camelids, alpacas are very dominant so that they can better protect their herd, so they value caring for others and community!

The elephant family were on all but one and sauropods were on all.
Rhino's evolved in Asia and invaded Africa later and camelids evolved in North America, with some heading south and others crossing the Beringia landbridge and then on into Asia and Africa.
Change is a constant feature of ecosystems
